What type of poetry/fiction/artwork do we want? Anything, but please remember that if you do not believe your work cannot be shown in a public movie theater (in the very least a soft R rating), then this is probably not the appropriate zine for you. We pay our contributors in recognition.

Authors hold the rights to their Works

Guidelines:

  • Poetry no more than 32 lines (please do not center poems)

  • Flash fiction ~200 words

  • Fiction no more than 1,000 words

  • Art/Photograph must be in Jpeg format.

Rules:

  1. Please, no double dipping. Do not send works that have been published elsewhere. Please only send unpublished material.

  2. In subject line, state which category you are submitting to

  3. Attach submissions in email, please do not share a google docs link

  4. All submissions must include a fun two-line biography in the body of the email

  5. Please no “inappropriate” photography or artwork

  6. Cursing is fine.

  7. Only Three short stories per submissions for fiction

  8. No limits for poetry or flash fiction

  9. Non-Fiction is also Accepted

  10. Have fun!

 
 

Chapbooks

Submissions for Chapbooks are always open…for now

What type of poems and artwork do we want? Authors Hold the rights to their work

Guidelines

  • 20-30 poems that share a somewhat similar theme

  • 20-40 if the poems are a shorter style. Example: Haikus or Cinquains

  • Art Jpeg format

Rules:

  • Chapbooks with art are welcomed so long as you own the rights to the pictures or are working with someone who does who will also be contributed. Submit art in Jpeg format

  • In your collection, you can submit poems that have been published elsewhere if they fit the theme of your chapbook, but please indicate this in your manuscript by stating where and when it was published so that it can be properly indexed.

  • In the subject line, please make it clear you are submitting a chapbook with the title and your name

  • In the body of the email, please write a letter of injury of why you believe Literary Alchemy Press is the best fit for your chapbook, and if your poems have a certain style and theme.

  • Attach your manuscript to the submission email.

  • Your manuscript should include headers: with the title, name, and page number,

  • Should also include an index, and 1 poem per page.

  • Poems may be reordered upon publication

Collaboration

  • We work with you and communicate during the entire process of submission to publication.

  • Chapbooks become available to buy on Amazon

Art Books

What type of artwork do we want? Anything, but please remember that if you do not believe your work cannot be shown in a public movie theater (in the very least PG-13) then this is probably not the appropriate Press for you. We pay our contributors in recognition and 5 free books.

Guidelines

  • 20-30 photos in a word document

  • Index of Art

  • 1 Piece of Art Per Page

  • Corresponding Titles with Art

  • If traditional 2d/3d art, photos or scans must be in high definition

  • Photography welcomed

  • Digital art welcomed

  • JPEG format

  • Brief explanations of what the art means are welcomed.

    (not needed for every piece of art)

  • signal pieces of Art that have been published elsewhere are welcomed; however, please indicate where and when it was published so that it can be properly index in the document.

  • In the subject line, please make it clear you are submitting an Artbook with the title and your name

  • In the body of the email, please write a letter of injury of why you believe Literary Alchemy Press is the best fit for your art book and if you have a certain style or inspiration.

  • Attached Your Document

  • Your document should include a header that has a title, your name, and page number

Should also include an index, and 1 photo per page

Collaboration
